2024 – RONDEWU 9

SOLIDARITY FUTURES

Rondewu is back! For this 2024 edition, we invite politically interested and/or active people from across Europe to join us for a week to explore solidarity futures! We are facing increasing right-wing politics, wars and escalating global climate and biodiversity crises. We need and want more humanity, respect and care for each other, and for nature. That is why we want to talk about solidarity futures at this year’s Rondewu. How can we organize our societies to focus on care? How can global solidarity look like? What other relationships do we want with each other and with nature?

What better place to meet than in the mountains, where stories of solidarity can be told about mountaineers, partisans and nature lovers? We meet at a place close to the border between Switzerland and Italy in a beautiful 300 year old farmhouse that is Salecina.

DIY:

Please be aware that Rondewu is DIY, we want to self-educate ourselves. We create a space where you can exchange ideas and experiences, and create a network with like-minded people across borders. As an orga-team we plan to propose a couple of workshops, two hikes and a party, but we warmly invite you to offer a workshop yourself or bring anything you would like to share with the others. While you are welcome to take time for yourself when needed, we ask people to try and participate in the group activities throughout the whole week.

Awareness:

We try to make Rondewu a safer space, which is why we ask you to participate in awareness raising and to respect your own and others’ limits. We do not tolerate any racist, sexist or other discriminatory behavior. Salecina is unfortunately not barrier free. There will be a separate information on awareness with more details coming soon. In case money is an issue, there is the possibility to apply for funding. Please contact us for any special needs you might have!

Registration:

If you want to join Rondewu 2024, please write us an e-mail: rondewu@immerda.ch

We hope to get to know you soon and share a week around solidarity in the middle of nature, hearing the marmotas whistle from the mountainside. 🙂
